| I was born in Nigeria, raised in England and live in Canada so there are a lot of different influences affecting my work. I'd describe my current style as an African take on Northern (Canadian) art. I love the brightness and the excitment associated with many African artists and have always striven to make my pieces something cheerful and eye catching. I really enjoy Northern art, in particular, the vibrance and simplicity of it. I love how a few simple shapes can create something so amazing. I love the experience of art, how it can take you to a new, or forgotten place, and bring up old memories and new feelings. A wise person once said, "a picture is worth a 1,000 words!". I'm a big a lover of colour! One of my favourite genres of art is pop art and this has influenced the way I paint a lot. |
